VTube Update History 4.4 - June, 2025
Version 4.4, Build 1857 - June 19, 2025
1 - VTube-STEP now imports individual straights and bends along with bent tubes from ISOGEN PCF (Piping Component File) assembly files.
2 -When importing ISOGEN PCF assemblies, VTube will change the linear unit of the interface to the unit used in the PCF file.
Version 4.4, Build 1856 - June 18, 2025
1 - We fixed the Point Cloud Import logic for STL, OBJ, PC-DMIS, Revopoint, Comma Delimited, Space Delimited, and Tab Delimited point files.
If there were no point buckets in Point Cloud Control, the first bucket of up to 10,000 points was skipped (not imported) because VTube did not allocate memory for the missing bucket before the file import. VTube now adds a new point bucket to the existing buckets in Point Cloud Control before importing points from a file. This means that VTube will no longer add points to any preexisting point buckets during an import.
This image shows an STL file imported and measured. | ![]() |
2 - When making all points ACTIVE in Point Cloud Control, VTube now switches the DISPLAYED checkboxes to true for all point buckets if DISPLAYED boxes are inactive.
What are ACTIVE points? Active points can be selected and deleted. Displayed-only points cannot be.
We include Displayed and Active points types because Active points require much more memory than Displayed points. They redraw much slower. And, VTube can only allow from 10,000 to 20,000 points active at the same time. VTube can show hundreds of thousands of Display-only points in the viewport at the same time.
Version 4.4, Build 1855 - June 17, 2025
1 - VTube was no longer saving the master XYZ points CUSTOM POINT LABELS on the far left of the XYZ coordinate grids.
This has been repaired.
Version 4.4, Build 1854 - June 12, 2025
1 - The CSM M3 DAF Export window is redesigned to expand CSM output control.
- The window has several new components that control how VTube bender data is output to the CSM DAF file.
- VTube will now remember the state of the components in that form for use in future sessions.
- When this window is loaded, the CSM radius values are reset to the current VTube Default Radius, Radius 2, and Radius 3 values in Part Setup.
Version 4.4, Build 1849 - June 9, 2025
1 - We fixed the report output for Space Object tube-link values for circles and round slots.
The values in the Space Object window were out of sync with the grid. They are now in sync and report correctly.
Version 4.4, Build 1848 - June 5, 2025
1 - We changed VTube-LASER to export the CSM M3 DAF corrections to the YBC correction fields rather than changing the nominal YBC fields.
2 - We changed VTube-LASER so that recalling (importing) CSM M3 files will combine the YBC and the YBC correction values in the Bender Data Setup blue columns.
3 - VTube can now handle CSM M3 files with a straight count different from the count in VTube-LASER.
The CSM control's internal STEP count often differs from the straight count in VTube-LASER's measure process when recalling the file to correct from the bender. VTube is not confused by this. Permit VTube-LASER to have new or different counts during RECALL.
