VTube Update History 4.4 - April, 2025
Version 4.4 Build 1811 - April 15, 2025
1 - We fixed Bend Profile Inline measuring to work correctly with UniScan and MultiScan measuring.
"Inline" means that the straights and the bend profiles are measured together.
2 - The Inline Measure Controls menu (in Measure Setup) allows setting each bend's profile measure.
The settings now take effect during UniScan or MultiScan measuring. The settings override manual scan settings.
3 - We enhanced Bend Profile Inline calculations so that they are sent to the Inspection menu in real time while measuring using UniScan or MultiScan.
This means that users will not need to rescan each bend profile after initial measuring.
4 - The Bend Profile Inline ACTIVE switch (in Measure Setup) was fixed to work again.
Version 4.4 Build 1810 - April 10, 2025
1 - The new Monitor Scale option (in the System Options > Report menu) allows users to control proper report image capture when the Windows Scale and Layout size is scaled greater than 100%.
Windows allows for scaling of text, apps, and other items in the Display menu. When the scaling for any monitor is set to anything other than 100%, VTube will need to know about that change. Set the same scale value inside the Monitor Scale option inside the Report tab menu.
Version 4.4 Build 1808 - April 8, 2025
1 - VTube now has Alternative Tolerance icons on the top right panel, which are visible even when the Inspection Menu is not.
2 - The VTube installation now sets a registry setting to allow VTube to run with proper scaling in 4K UHD video systems.
These computers with video systems that run at 3840 x 2160 resolution.
Version 4.4 Build 1807 - April 7, 2025
1 - Changes were made to allow VTube-LASER to redisplay the Operator screen if users cancel the entry of Required ID before measuring.
2 - VTube will now, like it already does with the XYZ grids, reformat the LRA grid cells at every user interface update.
Version 4.4 Build 1805 - April 5, 2025
1—We added the VTube-LASER Alternative Tolerance feature to allow users to qualify parts with reduced tolerances during fabrication quickly.
- Why? A tighter in-process qualification for the corrections-loop process keeps the original qualified part further inside the full tolerance than without it, making it less likely that the process will start at the tolerance edge, allowing tube shapes to veer outside the full tolerance.
- When enabled, alternative tolerances are propagated to change the Pass/Fail Attribute results, the Inspection menu colors, report results, and OOT values. (The actual user interface full tolerance values do not change - but the pass/fail result can change if the factored tolerance causes the part to move out of tolerance.)
- Two new buttons at the top of the Inspection menu allow users to activate alternative tolerances at any time. The same buttons are on the Operator screen.
- The two alternative tolerances available are the END LENGTHS and TANGENT tolerances. This feature does not include other tolerances. If you want other tolerances added, don't hesitate to contact us (support@advancedtubular.com).
2 - The Alternative Tolerance settings MENU is added to the Inspection menu to control the values for each alternative tolerance.
- The values for each alternative tolerance are ENABLE and FACTOR. The factor value is multiplied by the full tolerance to calculate the alternative tolerance. The default factor is 0.5 for alternative tolerances.
Version 4.4 Build 1801 - April 2, 2025
1 - VTube now imports SV files that use tab characters rather than space characters internally to separate values.
Using tab characters is not the standard file format. However, we discovered a customer that designed a system that creates SV files that are formed this way, so we added the new capability.
